Impact Briefs

To promote the initiative’s results and contributions to the field of maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, many dissemination products have been produced, including an impact brief series outlining the initiative’s approach, highlights achievements, and shares success stories. Better maternal and child health through enhanced community engagement

Half of the world's deaths during pregnancy, childbirth, and in the first five years of life occur in sub-Saharan African countries. Since 2014, the Innovating for Maternal and Child Health in Africa (IMCHA) initiative has made important strides towards improving the lives of women and children in 11 countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
